We went to Fiji in July 2018 for 7 nights at The Warwick on the Coral Coast.

Outstanding elements were, the food, (5 restaurtants with lots of options), the pool and beach steps from each other and minutes from our room. The spa was lovely and good value also - treatments were a little more relaxed than what you would experience at a large city spa, but the products (pure Fiji) were beautiful and the hot and cold plunge pools really nice.

We did the all inclusive package with our 7 year old daughter and found it to be very worthwile - so long as you are aware of what the exclusions are, and order accordingly. Cappucinos, milkshakes, bottled water, cocktails, ice creams at the ice cream bar near the pool, and 3 of the restaurants (2 of which you do get a $50 voucher for & kids eat for 1/2 price) were not included. Even so, the Bula brasserie had different choices every night, breakfast had plenty of variety and the Lagoon bar by the pool for lunch had plenty of again different choices. House wine, beer and soft drinks were available and included at the 3 inclusive restaurants & the hibiscus bar near the lobby. This was our 5pm pre dinner sunset  overlooking the beach favourite.

One of the other fantastic things at the Warwick (and of course Fiji in general) was the family feel, the children are treated like an equal guest & our daughter loved this & so did we!

There were beautiful fish in the water that could be seen when paddling. Reef shoes can be borrowed from the pool kiosk, stand up paddle boards and snorkelling gear. There is a dive shop with fully accredited dive courses if you are interested in learning to dive.

The room was a good size, free wifi, TV mini fridge, we had an ocean view room - if you go onto the balcony and look around the corner...it really overlooked the garden. It wasnt an issue as we didnt spend much time in the room. The kids club area was similar to others - they dont appeal to us no matter where we are. There were tennis courst, air hockey, pool tables and squash courts included also.

There were 2 boutiques with beachwear, souvineers, snacks and swimwear. Our reccommendation - the snacks are very expensive, the clothes and swimwear are nice - but if they say they can get your size in something from the store up the road - dont get your hopes up - better to take a picture of the style code tag and get it later online if you love it! If they have your size there - go for it!

Absolutely everything can be charged to your room which is great. There is an ATM if you are going outside the resort and need some cash.

Tours and drive times in general - check several times when they tell you how long it will take to get somewhere - several times it was twice as long as we were originally told. We did the Pacific Harbour zipline adventure - further than expected - but well worth it! Lunch however is not included - a plastic cup of cordial is at the end - bring your own snacks.

Its worth checking if there are any large events on while you are staying - there was a large week long wedding on when we were there, the staff did their best, but they were struggling to keep up with things like turning the rooms around i.e. replacing towels and shower gel etc.  The last 2 nights of our stay there were very loud techno music functions as part of this wedding right outside our room. On the second night we were eventually moved to another room so we could get some sleep. This was obviously not ideal! I have to say though that after the fact, the Warwick management did respond to our complaint promptly with an apology and a refund for those 2 nights.

Overall it was a beautiful holiday, and I would stay there again - I would ask if they have any weddings that week though!
